Zoom Integration

Connect Zoom to bring meetings and recordings into DayHelm

Adding the Zoom App

Connect your Zoom account so DayHelm can show your meetings alongside Google Calendar and Outlook events, and surface each past meeting's cloud recording, transcript, summary, and action items.

1

Open the Integrations page

Sign in to DayHelm and open Integrations from the sidebar.

2

Click Connect on the Zoom card

DayHelm will open Zoom's authorization page in a new window.

3

Sign in to Zoom and review the requested scopes

DayHelm requests read-only access to your user profile, your meetings, and your cloud recordings. Click Allow to complete the connection.

4

Land back on the Integrations page

Once authorized, the Zoom card shows Connected and DayHelm starts syncing your meetings within a few minutes.

What DayHelm Reads from Zoom

DayHelm only requests read scopes — it cannot schedule meetings on your behalf, send messages, or change anything in your Zoom account. Specifically: user:read:user (your profile), meeting:read:list_meetings (your upcoming and past meetings), cloud_recording:read:list_user_recordings (which of your meetings have a cloud recording, so DayHelm can flag them on your calendar), and cloud_recording:read:recording (a recorded meeting's details and transcript).

Using Zoom in DayHelm

After connecting, your Zoom meetings appear in the unified Calendar view alongside Google and Microsoft events. Click any past meeting to open its detail page, where DayHelm shows whether a cloud recording is available with a link to view it in Zoom, so you can revisit any call without searching Zoom directly. When transcripts are available, DayHelm can generate post-meeting summaries and extract action items into your task list.

Removing the Zoom App

You can disconnect at any time, either from DayHelm or from Zoom directly. What happens to your data: when you disconnect in DayHelm, your encrypted Zoom access and refresh tokens are deleted immediately and syncing stops. When you uninstall from the Zoom Marketplace, Zoom sends DayHelm a deauthorization event and DayHelm deletes the entire Zoom integration record (including tokens) right away. Any Zoom-derived data already in DayHelm (meeting entries, transcripts, summaries) is removed when you delete it or when you delete your DayHelm account; see our Privacy Policy and Data Retention page for full details.

1

From DayHelm

Open Integrations, find the Zoom card, and click Disconnect. DayHelm immediately revokes the stored token at Zoom, deletes the token, and stops syncing.

2

From Zoom

Sign in to the Zoom Marketplace, open Manage > Added Apps, find DayHelm, and click Uninstall. Zoom revokes the OAuth grant and notifies DayHelm, which deletes your Zoom integration record.

Troubleshooting

If the Zoom card shows Reconnect, your token expired or you uninstalled the app from Zoom — click Reconnect to authorize again. If meetings aren't appearing, check that your Zoom calendar is configured in your Zoom profile and give DayHelm up to 15 minutes to complete the next sync. For anything else, contact support from the Help Center.
